The Rule of Thirds in Photography

The Rule of Thirds is the most common compositional strategy in photography. It suggests that your photograph can be divided into three equal sections vertically, and three equal sections horizontally. The idea is to place your subject on one of the intersect points. This will avoid the common mistake of perpetually centering your subject and to organize your visual information in a more interesting way.
